The Big Picture: Thinking About Audiences, Content and Methods of Delivery
The chart below represents an overview of a hypothetical RCR training system at one institution. It reflects the activities in place at one point in time.

The many possible audiences for RCR training are listed in the left hand column and the RCR competency areas, representing program content, are listed along the top.
Existing programs are presented within the grid by different colors; each color represents the type of educational/delivery method used for instruction.
A model such as this can be useful for defining potential target audiences for educational programs or examining the variety of delivery methods currently implemented. It can also be helpful to determine where significant gaps in programming exist to assist in a thoughtful deployment of institutional resources.
